Yesterday we were up bright and early and loaded in the car for a 2 hour drive. We headed south to meet my dad/brothers, grandpa and aunt/uncle/cousin for a picnic in the mountains.
After a bit of a bumpy start. (Literally, as I backed into a car at the coffee shop. My first fender bender. Thankfully, it was minor and she wasn’t worried about it.) We were off and running.
It was a beautiful drive and once we got to the mountains it was even better. The weather wasn’t too hot, the food was good (homemade Subs, YUM!), and the kids had a ball playing, climbing and fishing. As you can see from the picture, Connor got up close and personal with the mountains. He had a blast!
We ended our day with cake and ice cream to celebrate my grandpa’s 85th birthday. I think he really enjoyed being able to celebrate with both of his children and so many of his grand and great grand children.
