{this moment} – A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see. Happy Friday, friends!

Spring Breaking

We are Spring Breaking here in Northern Colorado this week.

To be totally honest,  it’s been much more fun than I anticipated.  Last week we endured the worst stomach bug in our family’s history.  It was not fun.  I hated seeing Connor so sick.  Everything around the house got put to the side (as it should).  I could have used a week to recover before having everyone home all day, everyday.

But, we’ve made the best of it and had a great time.  Spring weather even made an appearance.  Although winter is due to return for one more go ’round this weekend.

Look for a wrap up in the next few days here soon.

Now that we are at the 65th day of the year I thought I'd share some of my favorite images from my 365 project.

New Year's Day

Legos, Legos everywhere.

Sunset after a gray winter

A fun night out with friends (from my iPhone)

Sick, sick, and sick, again.

As always, my 365 is found here.

Collaging

Last week, I was inspired by Jean at The Artful Parent and put together a collage tray.  We used cotton balls, rice, pieces of cut up paper, beans, popcorn and confetti type streamers.  I even made homemade paste.

I even joined in.  This is something that I do too rarely.  Often I find myself working on my to-do list while the kids are engaged in an activity like this.  I plan to stop and enjoy the creative time with them more often.

We do lots of crafting but this was such a hit and we had a counter covered in art to prove it.  Now, I need to go back and read the comments on Jean’s post for more collage material ideas.

This is my other favorite use for this tray.  Snacks are so much more fun when there are lots of choices!  I don’t do this every day but when I do, it’s like a little party.

I think we’ll be partying around 9:30 today.

There is so much loveliness around the blog world.  I thought I’d share some of my favorites from the past week or so.  Enjoy!

*Mary Beth’s  Happiness Project

*Ali’s Project Life

*All of the goodness over at The Simple Ling Blogs. I especially loved Eren’s post on Starting a Garden with Repurposed Materials. Also, the post on Eco-Friendly Lunch Containers is bookmarked for late summer as we prep to enter the world of packing lunches every day.

*Blair’s knitting post inspired me to think beyond the scarf when it comes to knitting. I love her idea of a blanket made from garter-stitched squares. That would be perfect for me since the garter stitch is all I know. (Though, I am hoping to change that with some lessons soon.)

*Baked yumminess like Peanut Butter Power Bars and WHO Bread
