Tuesday

It's Tuesday.
I discovered the Couch to 5k app and love it! 2+ miles at the gym today. I'm hoping to complete a 5k in mid-June.
We shared our sweet girls with friends.
The sun, and rain, caught my eye.
We enjoyed a leisurely evening, even though it meant a late bedtime.

Simply Ten Good Things

The wonderful SouleMama is at it again with her simple, wonderful kind of genius. In an effort to get some words back in this space, here are my Simply Ten Good Things.

Dinner with great friends
An afternoon nap on this dreary Monday
Pushing myself at the gym
Anthro loveliness
Our new family members, Eggnog and Goldie. (More are on the way very soon.)
Freshly painted toes
A much slower paced week ahead
Spring flowers filling the house
Fresh laundry
Opportunities to let go of expectations

Happy last week of April!!

Signs of Spring

Connor and I took a little adventure around the neighborhood today to look for signs of Spring.  The first glimpses of life returning after winter.

Connor rode his bike (yes, with shoes on the wrong feet.  He didn’t care.).

I relinquished my camera to C and he took no less than 30 pictures of squirrels.  At one point he even said, “squirrel, you can run but you can’t hide.”

I can’t wait to watch the rest of Spring emerge.

Our Weekend Through the Lens

Colorado is an amazing place.  Things change so quickly.  Saturday was sunny and 80 while Sunday brought snow.  Here's a glimpse at our weekend through my lens.

Believe it or not, the kids have been fighting a really nasty bug.  Jack was home all of last week and I foresee Morgan being out at least Monday and Tuesday.  YUCK!!!

Happy Mail

Happy Mail

This week has been a challenge. Both boys have been sick with raging fevers, coughs, sneezes and more.  Our adjustment to Jeff’s work schedule has been interesting to say the least.

I also celebrated a birthday. 34.

To celebrate, or make myself feel better, I did a little online shopping. My first package arrived today.

Isn’t this Japanese masking take from Ginko Papers lovely?

***

I have done a little reading.  I finished One Thousand Gifts which was so good, really beyond words.   Ann has a gift that is pure grace (to use her words).  I’ve also read Keeping Chickens, Grow Great GrubThe Omnivore’s Dilemma (Young Reader’s Edition) and Shanghai Girls.  I’m a little behind the 52 in 52 curve but hope to catch up.  Summer’s on its way, you know.

***

Getting things done

Speaking of summer, I’ve started Spring cleaning.  Is there anything better than a bunch of freshly sharpened pencils?  I cleaned out the craft closet and have started a list of to-dos and to-buys for summer.  We’re only 2 months away.

YIKES!!

When push comes to shove, we’re working hard to enjoy the littles things, feverish boys and all.
